Over the past two or three centuries, the advent of the machine age and the replacement of natural landscapes with technological infrastructure have—through a process of proportional reduction via counter-rotation—displaced the "Twin Earth" body with artificial structures, affecting the twin dynamics of the oceans, rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water.
Anything created moves in a direction opposite to that of water. Essentially, the more artificial industrialization of modern civilization expands across a continent, the more water flow diminishes and the capacity for oxygen generation declines. It is a known fact that if the entire Earth were covered in concrete and minerals, oxygen production would cease; consequently, water would vanish from the planet, and neither flora nor fauna could survive.
In other words, within the twin flows of water—existing in solid (ice), liquid, and gaseous states—the "Twin Moons" interact through both opposing and aligned movements. Since this specific water cannot be used to generate breathable oxygen, the Atlas civilization relies on oxygen supplies imported from the opposing Earth. As previously noted, extending the flow of fresh water from the mountains further outward effectively creates more of the Twin Earth's physical structure. However, rather than fostering growth, the Atlas civilization is depleting the three vital layers of water reserves to fuel a "pseudo-scientific" expansion. This has led to the collapse of solid mountain ranges and the formation of sinkholes on the plains; meanwhile, some continents are shifting toward the "Twin Core" while others are ravaged by volcanic eruptions and wildfires. Due to the higher concentration of tectonic "twin plates" in Southeast Asia, Mount Everest continues to generate some water, even though technological expansion across Asia and other continents is rapidly depleting local water systems. Furthermore, the construction of numerous dams in Nepal and India—located south of Everest—has disrupted the natural flow of water, thereby destroying the region's "twin distillation" process. Consequently, not all water originating from Everest reaches the Bay of Bengal or the Indian Ocean.
The water from Everest—utilized by Nepal and India for hydroelectric power generation—has weakened the "twin" energy-spinning capacity of the mountain and its surrounding plains. Meanwhile, the water destined to travel long distances to the oceans is being diverted into "anti-field" applications involving genetically engineered flora and fauna, particularly in the poultry industry. It is also being consumed in engineering processes—spanning physics, chemistry, and biology—to construct "atlas bodies." Consequently, the distillation processes involved in creating these anti-field "atlas bodies" across Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Bangladesh have themselves been rendered anti-field in nature.
