In essence, the night extends from the two points of settings to the two points of risings. If there is a continuous supply of oxygen during this period, diseases cannot take hold. This ensures that the physical structure of the Twin Earth—and the organisms inhabiting it—remains robust. Among the plants, three-tenths provide oxygen only during the day, while seven-tenths provide it both day and night. While ten parts of oxygen are generated during the day, seven parts are produced at night.
